Traveling to Austria
People arriving at the Graz Airport :
The airport is located several kilometers from the city center. It takes 20 minutes to reach the
historic city center by public bus. Graz Airport is the arrival airport for many international airlines and low-cost carriers, and direct flights to Graz are available from many cities. A convenient airport shuttle also takes passengers from Vienna Airport to Graz.

You can easily reach Graz even from Vienna Airport. You can check the schedule here. From there you can get a bus/train to Graz, which takes around 2-3 hours. You can find the train timetable here.

Food
Lunch (Thursday & Friday): at the mensa at FH JOANNEUM (Thursday & Friday) seats are reserved for all Festival participants. There are different menus to choose among. Costs are around 10 Euro. [Please note that EYA will overtake lunch costs only for winners, students participating in the online project and participants who have paid a Full Festival Pass].
Dinner (Thursday): “free evening” – you’re free to explore and enjoy Graz! X-Mas markets are already open.
VIP-Cocktail & at the Gala Ceremony (Friday): snacks provided.
There will be coffee breaks throughout the day at the conference (free of charge).
Bus & Local Transport
Tickets for public transport can be bought on all buses and trams and on railway platforms.
Graz City Walks
There will are two walks throught the city with city manager Heimo Maieritsch upon registration. Link will be sent to all Festival participants one week prior the event.
Session Information
Opening Ceremony
Wednesday, Nov 27 – Graz City Hall | 6.00 pm – 9.00 pm
The Opening Ceremony of the EYA Festival 2019 takes place in the City Hall of Graz under the patronage of Siegfried Nagl, Mayor of the City of Graz.
Winners will present their project in 1 minute. National clothing is most welcome (but not obligatory).

Winners presentations
The winners will present their project on Thursday afternoon. After each presentation (taking exactly 5 minutes) there are 5 minutes Q & A.
Youth for Innovation Styria Workshop
After all winners presentations, there will be a special workshop for all winners and students participating in the Youth for Innovation Styria program.
All other Festival participants can enjoy a free evening!
Gala Evening
VIP-Cocktail with snacks starts at 7 pm. Gala Ceremony starts at 8 pm.
After Party
Be prepared to party till the break of dawn!
WLAN & Social Media
W-Lan is availabe at almost all Festival venues (City Hall, Audimax). Please avoid downloading/playing videos as this can lead to a break down.
