Werner Richtsfeld was born in the Mühlviertel, Austria. After his training at the HTBLA Neufelden in the field of business informatics, he worked for several years in Linz as a software developer, held training courses and managed customer projects.
By changing back to the Mühlviertel to the startup Digiplan, where he met his current co-founder at BikerSOS and friend Christian Indra, interest in young companies was aroused.
Together with Christian he started the preparatory work for BikerSOS in 2014. In 2015 the app was published for the first time. This was followed by starting his studies in business informatics, the establishment of the company and the connection to the emergency call centre in 2016.
Some awards like Startup of the Year by Startablish, the participation in the show 2 Minuten 2 million and the win of the ÖAMTC Startup Challenge followed in 2017.
