Petra Hauser is CEO of media.at, the 2nd largest agency group in Austria.
Petra is a bachelor of Business Administration and Communication, who studied business economics at the University of cooperative education in Mannheim and communication science at the University of Arts in Berlin. She has also graduated from the Executive Program „Driving Digital and Social Strategy” at the Harvard Business School in Boston and from the Executive Education “Developing Breakthrough Strategies” at the Columbia University, New York City. Petra Hauser studied Exponential Technologies and their impact on the global grand challenges at the Singularity University in Mountain View, San Francisco. Since October 2016 she leads the SingularityU Vienna Chapter.
Petra Hauser began her career in 1995 at UFA Film and TV GmbH in Hamburg. She quickly advanced to CLT-UFA S.A. in Luxembourg as Head of Radio Development and was responsible for a portfolio of 23 radio stations in 9 European countries.
In 1997 Petra Hauser moved to Austria and was heavily involved in building up the radio privatised sector as Managing Director of the radio station 92.9 RTL Wien. In 2000 Petra Hauser took over the management of Sat.1 Österreich, a private TV station which she developed to be the first private station offering content marketing solutions to Austrian brands.
In 2012 Petra took over the leadership of the media.at Group and the accompanying agency brands of Omnimedia and MediaSelect. In 2013 she founded the joint venture of firstname.lastname@example.org with the leading German Digital Marketing Agency Pilot Hamburg. She also launched a new agency brand mediastrategen onto the Austrian market under the media.at umbrella brand. Petra Hauser is an expert in various media channels including Television, Digital Media (Display, Performance, Search, Social, Mobile, Video), Radio, Print, Out of Home Advertising and Cinema.
Petra Hauser is married with two children.
