Olaf is Chief Executive Officer of Santander Consumer Bank which is part of the Spanish Banco Santander, the largest bank in the Eurozone. He has been responsible for the local business since 2009, when the company entered the market in Austria. Since then, the business in this country has more than tripled. Born in Germany, he started his career in the Santander Group in 1991. Following his apprenticeship as a bank clerk he worked as bank advisor for retail customers in Hamburg. From 1997 he held several management positions in the company. Most recently, he was responsible for the branch business in Germany before moving to Vienna, Austria.

Olaf likes football, he is a fan of FC St. Pauli in Germany and Wiener Sport-Club in Austria.
