Magdalena Kubów is a researcher in the field of Entrepreneurship and Future Trends. She conducts research under the auspices of the International Center for Research on Leadership, at SWPS University in Poland.
She holds a doctoral degree in Economics in Management Studies. Her research interests include: trend watching, trend forecasting (especially social and cultural), designing business models and developing social innovation and entrepreneurship in the network society.
As a subject-matter expert, she is involved in various projects focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and business model design, such as “Entrepreneurship in Creative Industries (ALK)” and “Get Inspired! (SALTO – YOUTH)”. She is also involved in various cross-sector research projects comprising academia, business, and NGOs and contributes to foresight projects.
For the past ten years, she has been designing and implementing programs, which facilitate cooperation between business and local government in the public services sector. In cooperation with the City of Warsaw, the National Center for Culture and various NGOs, she co-develops, coordinates and implements, programs that improve residents’ quality of life. She has nine years of teaching experience, gained at various higher education institutions, such as SWPS University, Kozminski University and the Faculty of Management of the University of Warsaw.
In addition to her academic activities, for over ten years she has been cooperating as an entrepreneur with NGO’s, National Centre of the Culture, local centres of the culture in Warsaw. Moreover, she is an co-author of the programme and a Leader of Warsaw Sport Project organized in cooperation with local government in Warsaw, capital city of Poland.
She likes working with the students, creating business ideas and preparing business models with them. The most important factor in business for her is just…imagination!
