Katrin studied sociology at the University of Graz and Social Work at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. She also participated in and completed the “Psychotherapeutisches Propädeutikum” programme.
She is Senior Lecturer at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and Department Head of “Social Inequality and Social Space Orientation” at the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences. She has several years of experience as a social worker in different sectors of social work, such as alcoholism-therapy, labor-market integration and social services. As a sociologist, she has designed theoretical concepts for social work in public authorities and carried out evaluation studies for children and youth welfare institutions. She held guest lectures at the Caritas School for Social Professions and the University of Salzburg. She also holds lectures at various conferences. Her main teaching and research topics are human rights and democracy, social inequality, social space orientation and case studies.
