Julianna Faludi PhD is a sociologist researching social innovation, the relation of human and technology, and digital entrepreneurship. Her research is driven by the scientific quest for ways of human agency in the digital era where social change is a quest for entrepreneurs, activists, and communities. She is a coach and mentor at hackathons and digital startup projects collaborating with the Impact Hub and Makerspace in Budapest, and the European Youth Award in Austria. Working for various institutions in the field, Julianna has extensive experience in regional development policies, and local development, strategy, programme design, evaluation and assessment. Julianna is lecturing Sociology (Economic, Organizational, and Sociology of Arts), Branding and Innovation. Being member of several boards, and the previously the managing director of the European-wide Joint Master Programme in Local Development she is experienced in international education and research projects. Her PhD in Local Development and Sociology focused on Open Innovation in the Design-Driven Industries in Italy. She is passionate about how the world is wired, the relationship of art, design, technology and society.
