For 17 years, Elke Lujansky-Lammer has headed the Regional Office for Styria of the Ombud for Equal Treatment Austria. Since 2007, she has been a member of the Human Rights Council of Graz, from 2011 to June 2017 chairperson. She has many years of experience in advising and supporting persons feeling discriminated. One of her main tasks is to provide information on equality issues, equal treatment, non-discrimination and anti-racism. She is engaged in international initiatives in this area – either by giving lectures or by joining conferences and working groups, in particular in the scope of the network of equality bodies (Equinet).
