Born in 1975 in Vienna, Constanze spent her her childhood in Innsbruck before returning to Vienna for her High School studies. Afterwards she studied Commercial Sciences at Vienna University of Economics and Business with a focus on innovation marketing and management as well as operations research.
After several years working as an Innovation Researcher at HiTec, a research spin-off of her university, she joined the Austrian Council for Research and Technology Development, the counselling body of the Austrian Government, in 2006. In addition to her function as Deputy Managing Director of the Austrian Council, she was responsible for the area of corporate research, innovation and its financing.
Her work anchored a broad concept of innovation in the Council which, in addition to service innovation and the creative industries, also focused on social innovations.
These efforts eventually led her into the management of SENA, the first representative body for social entrepreneurship in Austria.
