KENNE DEINE RECHTE
(= “know your rights”) is an online human rights platform made by young people for young people. It was initialised by grammar school students and launched by the Human Rights Advisory Board of the City of Graz in 2010. Besides giving basic information on the human rights framework KENNE DEINE RECHTE works to bring human rights down to earth by publishing articles, interviews, surveys and more on a biweekly basis.
Each autumn, when the school term starts, a new team of human rights junior journalists aged 14 to 22 finds themselves at the starting point for a school year of workshops and events, investigating and writing, publishing at kennedeinerechte.at and promoting via Facebook. The journalists get administrative support in their work by the ETC Graz (European Training and Research Centre for Human Rights and Democracy) which is the office of the Human Rights Advisory Board.
